Nicolás
Nicolás, known to everyone at the studio as Nico, is a tattoo artist from Chile with ten years of experience behind the needle. His path into tattooing wasn't a straight line. It started almost by accident, tattooing friends just for fun, until the passion took over completely.
At university, he actually studied International Trade, a world away from tattooing. But once he graduated, it became clear what really excited him wasn't a career in trade, it was tattooing. So he made the call to commit to it fully, putting in the work day after day to sharpen his technique and build a real career around it.
Nico specializes in realism, both in black and grey and in color, a style that demands patience, precision and a genuine understanding of light and shadow. He's worked across several tattoo studios in Chile before making his way to Black Hat Tattoo, gathering experience with every project along the way.
He's also drawn to tattoo conventions, not just to show his work but to learn from other artists, exchange ideas and keep pushing his craft forward. That mindset says a lot about him: Nico sees himself as someone still growing, always looking to become a better artist, and a better person along with it.
